IPQAM technology introduction

  

IPQAM is a multifunction device,which collects the functions of multiplexing, scrambling, modulating, and frequency converting. It multiplexes the program streams which input from IP backbones network to specified multi-service transport stream, and then go through with QAM modulation and frequency conversion, and finally output RF. The process of QAM interactive VOD business is shown as below:

Interactive data: STB access certification, transmit EPG information scanning and other data through IP network, including up data and down data.

Audio and video streams: Firstly, VOD server transfer the audio and video streams to IPQAM equipment by appropriate packing; secondly, IPQAM modulates the audio and video streams to RF signals, then transfers the RF signals to STB through HFC network; thirdly, STB modulates and decodes the audio and video streams.

IPQ6800 introduction

IPQ6800 is an IPQAM modulator with high quality which is launched by Hangzhou Dibsys Technologies Co., Ltd. It supports VOD, unicast, broadcast, data and other business. IPQ6800 makes full use of the bandwidth of Gigabit Ethernet; a single machine can support 4 to 48 QAM channels, and can flexiblely place at the leading front end, branch front end or the convergent point of fiber optic.
